Luxembourg-based auto supplier International Automotive Components has celebrated the official opening of its new European headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany.
IAC currently has 26 plants and 5 technical centers in Europe which specialize in interior parts for the auto industry. When the company was first established in 2006, its European operations consisted of 11 plants in seven countries.
The new headquarters employs 100 people and not only serves the European market, but works in partnership with other IAC regions to oversee global platform launches and ensure consistent standards for production on four continents for customers such as Daimler, BMW, Volkswagen and Jaguar Land Rover, states the company.
The company has seen rapid global growth in recent months, opening its Asia headquarters in Shanghai earlier this year along with two new facilities in India.
IAC's 2013 estimated sales were $5.2 billion. The company operates 80 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries and employs more than 28,000 people globally.
